At the August meeting of the Dignity Fund Coalition, the main agenda items were votes of the members on several ballot measures on the November 2024 San Francisco ballot.
Reform of City Commissions on the November Ballot
Two ballot measures qualified for the November ballot. The Dignity Fund took a position to oppose Proposition D and to support Propositions E and G.
DF Opposed: Proposition D, initiated by Together SF, was an effort to abolish the Dignity Fund Oversight and Advisory Board along with a large number of other important public bodies. Proposition D did not pass.
DF Supported: Proposition E, initiated by Supervisor Aaron Peskin and a coalition of small businesses and organizations, addressed the issue with a more measured, transparent process. Proposition E passed.
UPDATE: Proposition E Task Force meetings have begun and they have had two meetings. Here is a link to their website so that you can follow along.
DF Supported: Proposition G, to Fund Rental Subsidies for Affordable Housing Developments Serving Low Income Seniors, Families, and Persons with Disabilities. Proposition G passed.
