The “Keep Your Promise” Campaign

Starting during the pandemic, the annual Dignity Fund allocation has been suspended and continues to be threatened while millions in funds have been awarded to other non-senior & disability related areas.

This loss is cumulative. The annual allocation is added to the baseline and continues each year of the Dignity Fund legislation. Suspension of the allocation from FYS 21, 23, and 24 represents a loss of $171 million in services and supports for older adults and adults with disabilities.

The budget process has begun. The Dignity Fund Coalition and community partners are mobilizing to “keep the promise” made when voters overwhelmingly approved the Dignity Fund. Their campaign, “Forget Us Not,” aims to ensure continued support during the City’s budget deliberations.

Our goal is to restore the promised Dignity Fund allocations this year, and the years to come.

“Forget-Me-Not”

We’re creating blue “forget-me-not” flowers and postcards with personal stories to highlight the impact of Dignity Fund support. These will be shared with the Mayor, Supervisors, and other key decision-makers during our advocacy efforts.
